Although the internet is a wonderful way of communicating and displaying information about Guiding, we must be especially vigilant in how we use it. Please DO NOT put anything on a website that relates personally to girls in your units. Unit websites are a great way to show the world what fun we have in our meetings and residential events but you MUST NOT identify any of the girls, or display photos unless you have the parents permission. DO NOT include any details of where or when the girls will be meeting. DO NOT divulge any personal details such as phone numbers, addresses etc. whether for girls or adults. REMEMBER, we have a duty of care for all the girls in our units and this includes safeguarding their personal details. With Centenary Celebrations now in full swing, we will be eager to share our experiences and show the world what fun we're having and how proud we are to be involved in Guiding. Just remember that our members safety is paramount.
