Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Senior Section members from across Epping Forest North Division joined a woodland trust tree planting event on Saturday 10th October and helped to plant a new section of woodland alongside the M11 in Theydon Bois. The girls joined with members from a Buddhist Temple in London (who are sponsoring the replanting) to plant the latest section of the new woodland and in just one morning they planted 1500 new trees. They all had a lovely time out in the fresh air and sunshine and it was a great experience for the girls to be part of this worthwhile community project. The girls who came will also be able to count this towards our Division Centenary Challenge and have been invited to go and visit the Buddhist temple in the near future.
