Tell your Guiding story
We've all got fond memories of our time in guiding, whether it's putting up a tent in gale, or seeing your daughter head off to Rainbows after a lifetime in guiding yourself.
The Girlguiding UK Centenary Story Bank aims to capture the memories of members over the last 100 years. It aims to tell the story of guiding's impact on the lives of girls and women and on society in general and to enable people to contribute to and access the Story Bank for their learning, enjoyment and inspiration.
We want as many past and present Girlguiding UK members as possible to submit their memories and stories to the Story Bank as part of our Story-gathering project. Once submitted, your memories will become part of the heritage of the first 100 years of guiding.
The Story Bank contains six themes; beginnings, here and now, flying high, challenges, changing worlds and adventures.
Submit your story to the Story Bank, so that your memories of guiding can be captured forever.
If you want some inspiration, take a look at some of the memories that have already been published by searching the Story Bank
