The 2nd Buckhurst Hill Guides enjoyed spending their Jack Petchey Award money with an activity day at Thriftwood. We started with team building games which certainly broke any ice and made everyone think. Then followed kayaking, the cresta run and pedal karting.
Buckhurst Hill District held a sports evening for all Brownies and Guides. All the old favourite races were contested - sack race, egg and spoon, 3-legged and the final event was a hard fought tug-of-war. Everyone enjoyed a summer evening of fun.
First Great Chesterford Rainbows and Brownies have been fundraising for Children with Cancer. Over a term they completed the Mr Men and Little Miss Marathon Challenge. The girls completed 26 challenges including, running; an obstacle course; and creating fashion out of newspaper. We all had lots of fun completing these challenges and the girls are proud to announce that they raised £655.00 for Children with Cancer.
