2nd Chigwell Guides held a Bake Off meets Masterchef meets Ready Steady Cook evening in aid of Comic Relief. Girls had to wear red and prepare cakes in pairs to compete for RND Champion. We invited parents in at the end of our meeting to have tea and sample our cakes. We have raised £42.80 (so far) for Comic Relief and had a great evening in the meantime! 5th Hornchurch Guides BP awards last night, along with Bronze DofE and a Jack Petchy awards. County Commissioner Chris Skinner and President Margaret Henderson joined other dignitaries at St Georges Church Hornchurch for a carol concert followed by these very special awards.
1st Warley Guides held a presentation evening for their Unit including six BP awards which were presented both by County President Margaret Henderson and County Commissioner Chris Skinner.

A group of Thurrock Guides and Scouts, including County Commissioner Chris Skinner were invited to tea with Thurrock Mayor Sue Grey. The group were invited to tell her all about their trip to Switzerland and
Ouir Chalet last year. During the visit to the Mayors' Parlour everyone, including Chris, had a chance to try on the Mayoral robes and chain of office.
More than 70 girls from all sections and their leaders had a great time during their sleepover at St Johns Church in Grays.
