Thurrock West Division Rainbow/Brownie link day at Cherrywood Campsite, Purfleet. The girls made a fruit sald each, played 'breakfast' bingo where they rolled a dice to 'win' a knife,fork, spoon, plate and cup, and made father's day cards. They also had to find objects in the woods to spell Rainbows and Brownies
A group of Thurrock Guides and Scouts, including County Commissioner Chris Skinner were invited to tea with Thurrock Mayor Sue Grey. The group were invited to tell her all about their trip to Switzerland and
Ouir Chalet last year. During the visit to the Mayors' Parlour everyone, including Chris, had a chance to try on the Mayoral robes and chain of office.
More than 70 girls from all sections and their leaders had a great time during their sleepover at St Johns Church in Grays.

Thurrock West Division held a Traditions Camp where the girls learned about how camping used to be, including the challenge of putting up a bell tent.
Other tasks included building camp gadgets, witling a wooden character and cooking pizzas on an open fire. Great fun had by all.
Pictures from the Charity Perry Walk by Thurrock West. Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Senior Section members, along with Leaders walked the three and a half miles from Tilbury Fort to Coalhouse Fort along the Thames river walk which links the two historic sites, raising money for charity.
