Peer Education Weekend

Quick info

Friday 6th October 2023 - Sunday 8th October 2023

Peer Education weekend – October 2023

Applications are open for the next Peer Education weekend. This includes training to become a peer educator and training on the Safe the World topic, as well as taking part in an adventurous outdoor activity.

The training weekend is free to attend and travel expenses can be claimed from counties.

What is a Peer Educator?

Peer educators are 14-to-25-year-olds who help Brownies, Guides and Rangers explore important topics. As young people, they use their own experience to bring the subject to life.

Being girl-led makes all the difference. It works because girls are eager to listen to their peers who share similar life experiences.

Peer educators run fun, safe and challenging sessions which we develop with expert partners. They can deliver sessions on:

Think Resilient – gives girls the tools to build their mental well-being. Developed with YoungMinds
Breaking Free   – gives girls the tools to challenge gender stereotypes. Developed with expert academics, CEOs and charities.
Safe the World   – helps members make a stand for safety. Developed with charity experts and police officers.

To apply for the weekend, download the booking form, and send it to angliapeered@girlguiding-anglia.org.uk by Friday 28 July 2023.

You will receive email notification when we receive your application, and an update on its status by Monday 31 July 2023 at the latest.
