Leaders from Essex West did a real GOTCHA on Sunday 11th December when our previous County Commissioner arrived at Orsett Hall expecting a cream tea with her family- only to find a welcoming committee there so that Mary Putt – a previous Region Chief Commissioner could present Chris Skinner with a well deserved Laurel Award. This award is only given to Leaders that have made an outstanding contribution to Guiding- it is our second highest national award and there are relatively few presented each year so many congratulations to Chris.
